Here are some things that we're learning about Roman...- He seems to be more alert everyday -- he likes to look around and check everything out.
- He smiles often and at more things than just lights now! (that makes us feel pretty good!)
- If you stick out your tongue while making a loud enough noise with your mouth and get him to stare at it, he smiles and attempts to stick out his little tongue, too!
- Roman likes bathtime, once he's in the water. (It's a little bit of a shock until he realizes that he's in the water... but then he's good after that!)
- He has some very powerful tush (or maybe colon?) muscles... it never fails that if we have the diaper off for too long, his face starts to get red, and then he pushes with all his might, reminding us why we need to re-diaper as quickly as possible. (Thank goodness for waterproof covers that we lay on the changing table!)
- Roman loves when Jake gets home from work. Jake has many funny facial expressions (as you can imagine)... Roman loves watching the faces and just waiting for the next one to come! (It's pretty entertaining to watch as a bystander, too!)
This pic is the first of a series... one of my co-workers (Lou Ann) gave me the suggestion of taking a pic of Roman each month with a specific toy/animal, so that we can easily see his growth... so here is Roman at 8-weeks old. Stay tuned for his 12-week pic in a few weeks!

so glad to see an update on baby Roman ... oh my .. is he growing!!! Hope to get to see and hold him soon!!!
What a cutie - can't believe 8 weeks already! I like the idea of taking pictures by a toy/object. Another idea I had heard is to get a 12 month (or larger) size outfit and take a picture of the baby in that outfit once a month until it fits correctly, so you can see how they grow and fill out. Fun ideas! :)
Let us know when you're down our way . . . we'll have to introduce our little guys!
