we had the joy of celebrating with travis and lindsay in goshen for a fun weekend wedding! it was steamy (no pun intended!) ... some warm weather followed by rain, but lots of fun memories and a happily wedded brother in the end! :-)
there are lots of great pics from the wedding taken by friends, family and photographers... unfortunately, i only had my camera out ONE time (seriously!!?!) the entire weekend.

we had planted a garden mid-May and were slowly watching it grow. apparently we missed some big rain and heat when we were away for the wedding... came home to this!! (front row: roma tomatoes, lettuce, snap peas, zinnias/cosmos; back row: squash, zucchini, cucumbers)
josiah had ear tubes put in on june 4. we didn't think that we saw any major change right away, and actually not even really until after the wedding... but we feel like it was a good thing to do and we're seeing more smiles and less frustration from him! yeah! :-)
benjamin is a 4-month-old, sitting up in the Bumbo seat with us while we eat supper... laughs a lot and responds to his brothers' stories and chatter... sleeping great... eating great, and therefore growing like crazy... sweet little guy, all-around!
roman is gearing up for "4", which is just around the corner. when there are things that he's opting not to do, for whatever reason, the answer is usually "i'll do that when i'm four." we'll see how "big" four actually turns out to be!
...and at the end of the month, we're pretty sure he's working on some teeth. he can almost fit his entire fist into his mouth! pretty amazing little guy we have!
... and finally, a happy fourth of july, everyone! with the 4th falling on a wednesday, we just stayed at home and celebrated here. since it was so hot out, we skipped the big parade in ames (mid-day), opted for a family trip to the grocery store, backyard pool fun, and eventually the Macy's parade on TV followed by sparklers in our backyard!
