our little men...

In the last week, roman and josiah have both said or done something and made me realize how quickly they are growing up!  i decided that i need to jot more of these "moments" down - will be fun to look back on again someday... so bear with me as i start to throw more of these "random moments" in to our blog!

About every other day, Roman works on "his art" - this consists of coloring with markers, crayons, pencils,  LOTS of stickers and sometimes glue pens.  He is a collector (a.k.a. hoarder); I think this is typical of a lot of kids so we're not concerned as of yet.  :)  In his pile of "art", he's started collecting several masterpieces that he has folded in half. He says that they're cards that he's going to give to his boys someday, when he's a daddy. He says that he'll have three boys, so each boy can have a special card from him. So sweet.

A conversation between Josiah and me today in the Hy-Vee parking lot: 

   Me: OK, let's go punkin pie.
   J: I'm not a punkin. 
   Me: Oh, sorry buddy.
   J: I'm a man.
   Me: Oh. (me looking VERY confused/surprised).
   J: No, I'm a boy.
   Me: OK. (a little relieved?!)
   J: No. I'm a little man. *Sigh of satisfaction.*
   My thought: Oh. Boy.

benjamin is still "on the grow" - not to be confused with "on the go".  he is still stationary and very happy about it.  in fact, he gets pretty frustrated when we give him some "tummy time".  he does like being in his exersaucer, which reminds me that it won't be long before he's using those legs to get around more!  he still has just two teeth, although they are fully "in" and i think he's got more coming soon... the boy can nearly fit his fist in his mouth, which is very impressive if you consider how big his hands are!  :-)
