Easter came early...

Roman is working through some changes with his night sleeping (not sure how else to describe it) -- he has been waking up at random times in the middle of the night, talking and ready to be awake. We check on him, and if he isn't dirty/wet/hurt, we let him talk it out on his own. Quick sidenote: roman likes to have a pacifier in his mouth to fall asleep, but then loses it very soon after falling asleep, so we have six pacifiers at the head of his crib for middle-of-the-night situations, when he/we can't find a pacifier that he previously had in his mouth, we just grab a new one, and then life is good. So i'm not sure exactly what he was doing last night, but when i went in to get him this morning, it appeared as though he was preparing for an easter egg hunt. I found two pacifiers on the floor just beside the crib, one pacifier under the crib against the wall, and then another pacifier across the room by the foot of the rocking chair (about 3 feet away from the crib). I was kind of excited to keep searching for pacifiers once I got started, but then realized that there were only four missing from the head of the crib, so it was a fun game but ended quickly. So i'm not sure when the pacifier-tossing took place. Oh, and he was also completely upside-down in his crib from when he went to sleep last night. Funny boy. :)

one of roman's favorite things to play with is his sock. He goes for the left one more often, not sure why. (Maybe it tastes better?) It's ok by us - we always have a back-up in case we're out and he's bored with his toys/books/whatever. :]



roman enjoys books and reading... or babbling or whatever you want to call it. :)


I (colette) am officially part-time at work now, working monday-wednesday-thursday, so I get to be home with roman on tuesdays and fridays. thinking this will be a nice balance and excited to get to spend more time with our growing boy! (i'll hopefully be taking more pics/videos and updating our blog more often!)
