on the look-out

josiah is in MAJOR observation mode -- especially when it comes to wildlife, but really with anything that moves.  this morning, he was standing at the front window looking at a bird in our yard -- when he sees an animal, he arches his back and makes a "woof" noise (same noise for dogs, birds, squirrels and motorcycles.)  so he was watching this bird that was hopping right in front of him but starting to hop back toward our neighbors.  and then he spotted a squirrel crossing the street -- so he was looking from side to side, very quickly, for probably a minute, and then a motorcycle drove by, which was one more thing for him to track!  poor guy - his head was zipping all over the place.  wish i had that one on tape!
